"Personally, I love the holiday market because it's such a lovely space to learn the basics of earning money for a small business, and the fees to participate are super reasonable. Selling at the market offers an experience that touches on numerous angles of marketing and branding, social media presence, pricing, taking payments, interacting with customers, etc. Honestly, it's a fantastic 'jungle gym' with a temporary storefront for those who are just starting to build a brand and for those who are more experienced. Learning by doing is such an important experience for entrepreneurs. The market also offers fabulous inroads to the local community of 'makers.' The fact that the Holiday Market reposts content via social media gives so much exposure to vendors is tremendous- I know how much that sort of exposure can cost normally, and I'm grateful for what they do!"
